Always start by first examining the client’s scalp prior to shampooing in order to determine the best shampoo for the state of the client’s scalp and hair. Step 1- Begin by thoroughly drenching the locs Step 2- Dispense a healthy amount of shampoo into your palms then rub your hands together Step 3 - Distribute the shampoo from your hands by touching different parts of the clients scalp & hair Step 4 - Scrub client’s scalp and locs using the tip of your fingers and never your finger nails.

For the cleanest finish, retwist hair while it’s damp right after shampooing: Step 1- Replenish moisture lost from shampoo by spraying Leave-in conditioner to freshly shampood Locs Step 2 -Oil the scalp using organic hair oil Step 3 -Part out the first section start retwisting at the back of the head be sure to clip each loc Step 4- Work your way up to the front one section at a time until you reach the top of the head Step 5- Place client under dryer Step 6 - Remove clips once Locs are dry

This service looks best when you style the hair as you retwist which also cuts down on time. Step 1-Completing the shampoo process we learned above Step 2- Starting at the back section of the head, after retwisting each two Locs, you want to go ahead and begin twisting both Locs together in opposite directions which will keep Locs from unravel even prior to using a rubber band. Step 3- Rubberband ends Step 3- Repeat above motion until whole head is complete Step 3 - Once complete, Dry & done

For braided or barreled styles, Dry locs prior to avoid the forming of mold which causes a foul odor in locs Step 1- Get your client from under the dryer and oil their scalp Step 2- Establish guide by determine how many braids you are doing prior to starting to assure the finish will be even Step 3- Beginning on the front either right or left side of the head you will be working with two sections at a time Step 4- Start with two strands and add each strand to braid as you go Step 5-Secure ends
