Timing
This morning, just as I was about to drink my iced coffee, I noticed a guy floating on the surface. He looked like an ancient Greek philosopher.
I asked him, “What are you doing here?”
He replied, “I’m floating.”
I said, “Makes sense,” and drank him along with my iced coffee. I was terribly hungover and didn’t want to hear anything complicated at all.
Then I thought, “He must have been Archimedes.”
The way he floated looked so proud, as if he were showing off the fact that he was the first person to discover the principle of buoyancy.
I feel a little sorry for him now.
