Not only Cronut, but also Cruffin!!
I have found this cronut copycat in Los Angeles. This bakery "Paris Baguette" calls it a "croissant donut", top layer is donut and bottom layer is croissant with lemon creme filling. I don't think this is exactly like the original cronut with donut on the outside and croissant core.
If you are not a fan of donuts, they also make a Cruffin!, a croissant muffin hybrid.
How do they taste? I think the cronut is the winner here. The Cruffin is more just a muffin shaped croissant without any texture of a muffin. They are honestly both too sweet for my taste. If you have sweet tooth, they maybe right up your alley.
