In my region, we enjoy a three-day festival with a 400-year history.
For the first two days, we pull a festival float called a "Yatai" around a small part of our town. The town is divided into 11 sections. At noon, we throw a party for the kids where they can enjoy games and food. In the evening, we pull the Yatai, just like I showed you in the video. At night, we enjoy dancing and performing a trumpet parade called "Neri." Every day, we visit two different locations. The host at each location treats all the members to food and drinks, and in return, the participants perform the Neri.
On the final day, we bring our Yatai to the shrine, where we do the Neri, kids' sumo wrestling, traditional dances, and more. It is a long festival, but it brings all of us happiness and excitement.
