Happy Living Strong Monday 💥
This weekend reminded me of something I’ve known for a long time… but sometimes we need to live it again to feel it deeper. On Saturday, we released my Living Strong conversation with Forrest McClendon… A powerful exchange. Real. Honest. Present. That kind of conversation that doesn’t just sit in your mind… it stays with you. And this coming Saturday, April 25th at 6PM, we go live with my Living Strong conversation with Jose Luis Torres II… Another man who understands what it means to walk the path with purpose. But yesterday… yesterday was something else. I took a three-hour ride up to Stormville, New York with my son CJ… To meet my Aunt Carmen—my father’s sister—for the first time since I was four years old. Let me say that again… Since I was four. We sat together. We talked. We laughed. I met my cousins Sharon and Steven… spent time with my step-uncle Julio… And my aunt—Tía Carmen—prepared a beautiful meal… lasagna, meatballs… the kind of meal that doesn’t just feed your body, it feeds your soul. And in that moment… I realized something powerful… This is Living Strong. Not just the work. Not just the message. But the moments we choose to step into. We could’ve said, “another time…” We could’ve delayed. We could’ve let life keep moving. But we didn’t. And that’s the lesson I’m carrying into this week… 👉 Don’t hesitate. 👉 Don’t delay. 👉 Execute. Because the victory… is in the execution of meaningful action. You don’t wait until things are perfect. You don’t wait until you “feel ready.” You move… because the moment is here. You define your moments. You’re always in great shape for the shape you’re in. And you are never too old, broken, bruised, or beat… to live a life of meaning, purpose, and empowerment. This week, I’m back in the community… Continuing the work at Action Karate Mt. Laurel… Connecting with families… Building… serving… growing…

Don’t Watch Me—Do the Work (Day 1)
Day 1. I went live this morning at 5:30AM and got the workout in. I’m sharing the video here for one reason… Accountability. To be honest with you… you don’t need to watch it. It’s not about the video. What matters is the practice. In the comments below, I outlined exactly what I did. Simple. Straightforward. No guesswork. Set a timer: 45 seconds work, 15 seconds rest. Move through it at your pace and get it done. That’s it. This isn’t about content. This is about action. At this stage of life, this is what I’ve learned… You don’t get stronger by thinking about it. You get stronger by doing it. So don’t watch me. Go do the workout. And if you’re not doing anything right now… start today. That’s Living Strong. Take action.
🔥 LEAD THE WAY: What Our Kids Are Missing… and How We Bring Them Back to Life 🔥
Parents, grandparents, teachers… let’s talk for a moment. Because if we’re being honest, something has shifted. Our kids aren’t just using screens anymore… they’re living on them. You see it: Quiet at dinner. Zoned out after school. Less eye contact. Less conversation. And when the device gets taken away? Frustration. Shutdown. Disconnection. But here’s the part that requires a little courage to say… They didn’t create this environment. We did. And that’s not about blame. That’s about responsibility. Because if we created it… we can lead the way out of it. --- 🔥 THE LIVING STRONG APPROACH: A-B-C 🔥 This isn’t complicated. It’s simple. But simple doesn’t mean easy. It requires us to lead. --- 🏃 A — TAKE ACTION. GET ACTIVE. Kids don’t need another talk about what they should do. They need to move. They need to feel their bodies working. They need to engage. Interact. Try. Struggle. Try again. They need to experience what it feels like to be alive and active… not just entertained. This is why “Take Action, Get Active Time” matters. Not someday. Not when it’s convenient. Daily. Intentional. Real. That could look like: Walking together after dinner Playing outside instead of scrolling inside Joining a structured activity like martial arts Creating time at home where movement replaces screens 🥋Action creates energy. 🔥 Energy creates change. And when kids feel that energy… they start to come back to life. --- 📵 B — BOUNDARIES CREATE FREEDOM This is where most families struggle. Not because they don’t care… but because consistency is hard. At our karate school, we keep it simple. When kids walk in, they’re guided right into the process: Devices go OFF. Shoes go in the cubbies. Devices go in the cubbies. They grab their attendance card… step onto the mat… and prepare. No distractions. No exceptions. And something powerful happens… They become present. Focused. Engaged. Ready. Kids actually feel better in structure. They don’t need more freedom with devices.

👉 Your Daily Reset Practice
I want to share something that has been a part of my life for a long time… Breathing. Meditation. Pausing. This isn’t something I discovered last week. This is something I’ve practiced for years… and it’s helped me through some real moments in life. This is what I know… Most people move through their day without ever stopping. They carry stress from one moment into the next… and it builds. That’s why I believe in having a daily practice. Not once in a while… but something consistent. If you can… practice this three times a day: Morning — to set your direction Midday — to reset your mind Evening — to slow everything down Today, I’m sharing my midday reset with you. Just a few minutes… to pause, breathe, and reconnect. No hype. Just practice. 👉 Watch it here: https://youtu.be/gJ3pr6-9p4o If you take a few minutes with it… let me know how it felt for you. Living Strong.

A Living Strong Conversation with Kelly Mariano
This morning, I’m sharing a Living Strong conversation with a good friend… Kelly Mariano. Kelly is someone I’ve had many conversations with over the years… and every time we sit down, there’s always something real that comes out of it. Not forced… not planned… just two people talking about life as it is. And that’s what this conversation is. A moment to sit down… reflect… and speak on what it means to continue moving forward with purpose. Kelly has lived, learned, and continues to grow through his experiences. What stands out to me is how he processes life… how he takes what he’s learned and continues to apply it… and how he keeps building from where he is. That’s Living Strong. In this conversation, we spend time talking about: What life teaches us over time How we take those lessons and actually put them into practice And how we continue to create something meaningful… right where we are Because that’s the work. Not just learning… but practicing… and continuing to build. What I appreciated most about this conversation… was the honesty. The willingness to speak from where we are today… not from where we used to be… and not from where we think we should be. Just… where we are. And that brings us back to something I say often: We are in great shape for the shape we’re in. And from here… we build. Take a few minutes today and sit with this conversation. Listen to it… reflect on it… and more importantly… look at your own life and ask: What am I learning right now? How am I putting that into practice? What am I creating from where I am? This is what Living Strong looks like. The conversation is right below. Living Strong.
