These Living Strong Conversations… this is the work.
This is the practice.
This is men… sitting down… having Living Strong Conversations, and speaking truth about the life they’ve lived.
Last weekend, I began this journey with .
Kelly is someone very close to me—my first black belt. I watched him grow, not just in martial arts, but as a man. He built a career in the IT world, stepped into real estate, and today, he’s someone who shows up for others—especially entrepreneurs—helping them find their footing and move forward. But beyond all of that… he’s a man who’s lived, who’s faced his moments, and continues to choose to live strong. Watch my conversation with Kelly HERE
Today, I’ve released my conversation with Michael Demby Cain.
Michael is a thinker, a communicator, and a man who brings depth into every room he walks into. What struck me most wasn’t just what he does… but how he sees life. There’s a level of awareness, reflection, and honesty that you feel when you speak with him. He’s lived… he’s processed… and he speaks from that place. Watch my conversation with Michael HERE
And this week continues…
On Tuesday, I’ll be sitting down with Jose Luis Torres II—many know him as Master Jose Torres.
Jose is a lifelong martial artist, a school owner in New Jersey, and a man who has dedicated decades to developing people through martial arts. At the same time, he’s built a creative life as an actor, director, and writer, with credits on IMDb. He also stepped in as a publisher of Action Martial Arts Magazine, helping bring new life and energy into a publication that has long served the martial arts community. And for nearly 30 years, he has helped run and sustain a martial arts tournament—something that speaks to consistency, leadership, and long-term commitment. That kind of path… that’s built over time.
Then on Wednesday, I’ll be connecting with Forrest McClendon.
Forrest is a performer of the highest level—Broadway, London, stage, and screen. A man who has stood under the lights, in front of audiences around the world, telling stories through his craft. But behind all of that… is a human being who has walked his path, faced his own defining moments, and continues to evolve through his art and his life.
And I’ll tell you something…
Sitting with these men… it does something to me.
It reminds me that no matter the titles… no matter the accomplishments… we are all walking this path of life, doing the best we can with what we’ve been given.
There’s something powerful about men sitting down and speaking honestly.
No posturing. No pretending.
Just truth.
That’s what Living Strong is.
So if you’re here in this community… and you’re a man in your 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond… and life has shaped you, tested you, taught you something…
I’d be honored to sit down with you.
Reach out. Comment here or send me a private message.
Let’s have a Living Strong Conversation.
And one more thing…
Michael… my brother… I saw your post this morning.
My heart, my love, and my prayers are with you and your family during this time. Wishing you strength and peace as you move through it.
Living Strong.
