Microbe/Mycellium City!!!!
***UPDATE***
Days 9 thru 16 brought a high temp of 143°(day 10) and then settling in the mid to low 130s until day 15 drop to 128 then 121 this morning. Again signaling a need for oxygen mostly this time. It has an extremely pleasant sweet/fermented earthy smell(brought on by the LABs, KNF) and the mycellium growth just keeps exploding!!!! Over 8 inches deep and the 3 inch burrito top is loaded this time as well. The last 2 pics are from the 2nd cycle 😁🪱💩😁
This PreCompost uses 80% of its carbon from dried and shredded daylily stalks and 20% shredded cardboard from previous burrito tops of PC. The nitrogen is composed a few soil amendments, coffee grounds and seed meals. Inoculated with prior PC, CoWoCo worm castings and rootwise products. As you can see the microbes are EXPLODING, going about 8-10 inches deep into the mixture 😲😲😲Temps got to 136° on day 3 and have stayed above 130° for 8 days. Dropped to 122° this morning signaling a lack of oxygen and or moisture. Time to turn this batch!!!
