What is Pressing You?
Pressure can be bad or for your good. Most people resist it because it pushes us out of comfortable places. When it's bad, pressure tries to make you move from where you need to be standing in the moment. This is why knowing your purpose and what needs to be accomplished next is critical. By knowing where you are headed, it makes it easier to resist bad pressure and stand against it until you gain what is needed from that place. Good pressure, on the other hand, comes to wake you up to the fact that it is time to move on. Leave the PLACE behind but pack your bags with all you LEARNED while there. Head toward the next destination and unpack whatever you need as you go and grow! Let's Talk! Are you currently feeling pressure either from others or some discomfort within? What do you think it's indicating and what do you plan to do about i?

Topic (Week of June 7, 2026): What's the Point?
Almost everyone asks the question, “What’s the purpose of life and why am I here?” Many pursue the answer but only find more confusion and disappointment. As a result, some settle for the answer that there is nothing that can be known about life; we should just live doing as much good as we can, enjoying whatever we’d like and having enough to bury us when we pass on. Others live not caring much for others putting all the emphasis on themselves even if it means that others have to lose for them to win. Still others live life not appreciating or valuing themselves based on receiving negative feedback from people they trusted or comparing themselves to others then rejecting any part of their lives that don’t look like those they “admire.” But what is the point of life? When I asked God that question, he talked to me about his desire for us, and our roles in ensuring that life on earth looks like life in the Kingdom of Heaven (Revelation 11:15). Productive because we each have a role. But also peaceful and enjoyable because of how he loves us through life. Essentially, God works through each of us through Christ to re-establish life on earth so it looks and functions like it did before Adam fell out of right relationship with God. Let’s Talk! How have you pursued answering the question on the purpose of life? Have you found an answer along with peace and fulfillment in what you learned? What life questions do you still have?

Topic ( Week of 5/17/26): The Five Life Areas - Part 2
Then, how do we live life? What is life all about? Many have asked me that question over the years. So, I finally went to the source (God the Almighty Creator) to get his answer. That was how Live For Results® began. One of the key things he revealed to me was that although there are different aspects to life, they are all meant to work together for each of us to grow into all we were created to become. There are five areas of life: Faith, Health, Relationships, Career and Finances. In most of our cultures we have established the habit of feeling tension between them. For example, we talk a lot about “finding” Work-Life balance as though work was a separate part of life. Yes, I understand that by life they largely mean doing what makes you feel good or happy. But work should also make you feel good or happy…if you understand why you are doing it. The five life areas fit together this way: 1. Faith is the foundation – Everyone has a faith. Even not believing God exists is a faith. From that “faith” whatever it is, comes your perspectives and behaviors in the other four life areas. 2. Health – How you care for your physical and mental well-being even if you are managing disabilities. 3. Relationships – How you position yourself and interact with others. Who you choose to be with and why as well as who you choose to leave or stay away from and why. It is your “why” that helps you decide whether to stay or go/associate or not associate. 4. Career – The work you choose to do, with whom and where. 5. Finances – How you fund and support the other 4 life areas. These are the Live For Results® definitions. What ties them all together and helps them take shape is your God intended “WHY” which we call your Purpose. Reflecting on Part 1, God created each of us with intention. Live For Results® has a process to help anyone discover their purpose and lay out a plan to achieve it. And that is complemented over time, by experiences good and not so good (I avoid saying “bad” because we can gain something from any experience). Through experience, we discover and begin to understand other parts of our purposes that would not surface any other way.

Topic (Week of 5/17/26): The Five Life Areas - Part 1
Each of us was uniquely created by God to live and find the purpose for which we were placed in the earth at a given time. David says in a prayer to God, 13 For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb.14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. Psalm 139:13-14 (ESV) Whenever I read or remember this scripture from the Holy Bible, I remind myself that God intentionally put me here. And he put me here for reasons that I am still discovering, but he has known from the time he “planted” me. But even more amazing is that he made me wonderfully, which according to Merriam Webster and Dictionary.com means something done in a way that is extremely good and pleasing; or done to an extent that excites wonder, amazement, or astonishment; done in a remarkably excellent, highly pleasing, and astonishing manner. That’s me! That’s you! Let’s talk! Please reply to these questions: Do you believe and accept what was shared? How do you incorporate this perspective into your everyday life? After responding, read and reply to the next discussion question for this week, when you are ready.
