Happy Rewire Wednesday! 🌿
Here's something I want you to really sit with today:
Your nervous system learned everything it knows from experience. Every reaction, every pattern, every moment of bracing or shutting down — it learned that. Which means it can learn something new.
That's not a motivational statement. That's neuroscience.
The problem isn't that you're broken. The problem is that your nervous system is still running software that was written during the hardest seasons of your life. And nobody ever came along and said — hey, you can update that now.
That's what Rewire Wednesday is about. Not forcing change. Not white-knuckling your way into new habits. Actually updating the software.
This week's rewire practice:
When you feel your body shift into that familiar tight, guarded, or shut-down place — put one hand on your chest and say out loud or in your head: "That was then. This is now. I'm safe."
Three times. Slowly.
You're not lying to yourself. You're giving your nervous system new information. And over time, new information becomes a new pattern.
