If you don’t teach your kids… someone else will.
Most parents avoid “those” conversations. You know the ones. The uncomfortable topics. The ones that feel too early or too awkward.
So they wait.
But here’s the problem… kids don’t wait.
They hear things from friends, school, the internet. And half the time, it’s twisted, incomplete, or just plain wrong.
We made a decision early on with our kids. We weren’t going to outsource their understanding of right and wrong.
We had the hard conversations. Early. Honestly. Repeatedly.
So now, when they hear something off… it doesn’t confuse them. They actually pause and think, “That doesn’t sound right.”
Not because they’re perfect, But because they were grounded first at home.
It’s uncomfortable, yes. But silence doesn’t protect your kids… it just hands the job to someone else.
So the real question is:
Are you having those conversations… or avoiding them?
