We have a picture of healing and aligning ourselves where our life becomes absent of pain and discomfort.
Sure we expect pain and discomfort on the path to healing and enlightenment, but we tend to think its like an investment. If I hurt now for healing, then I won't hurt once I am healed.
That is not the case.
We will always have hurt, it is the way of the world and human existence. But when the healed person hurts, they do so from a place of wholeness, where the process of hurting and emerging on the other side can be a meaningful experience.
The un-healed person hurts, and their unexamined responses to the hurt fuel further pain in their lives and in those around them.
Healing is less about avoiding the pain of life, and more about learning to add a T: turning the pain in to painT so that you can craft a beautiful mural of your existence with intention and presence rather than throwing it at the wall without regard for where it lands.
