My Story
I am new to the Expert Coach Certification Community and I am currently an Addiction Recovery Coach Professional. My addiction and substance abuse problem lead to my incarceration, a mountain of debt, lost of my career, and a divorce from my high school sweetheart that I asked to move in with me and to marry.
Ashamed, angry, defeated, significantly hurt and broken and knowing the love of my life was never coming back destroyed me. Affecting my confidence, a record effecting my employment, pay, and reputation, I was struggling to hold on to something when I had nothing and during the toughest moment of my life I was alone and treated like a number.
Then Connecticut Community for Addiction and Recovery program changed my life. Helped me understand myself, addiction, and others suffering from substance abuse. Becoming a Recovery Coach Professional.
When I came out from incarceration, I volunteered my time to those with addiction. Doing what I loved, I knew what I wasdoing wasn't sustainable. I needed income.
Fast forward, I am working part time, in a healthy relationship, and feel the burden of not making enough money to support my fiance. A familiar feeling of inadequacy consumes me and my Recovery Coach Professional certification expiring soon. I am looking to brush off the dust and become an expert coach!
If you or someone you know identify with my story, struggle, challenges or anything resonance with you please comment and like. I need all the support I can get! Thank you Community and Ed for creating this safe space and prospering atmosphere! What you have done and this opportunity has changed my life.
