One of my clients recently built their entire coaching program using AI.
It took about 30 seconds.
12 weeks...
Modules...
Exercises...
Homework...
A lovely step-by-step journey from problem to transformation...
It looked great.
There was just one slight problem…
They had absolutely no idea whether any of it actually worked
Now, I'm not having a go at them.
Because I think a LOT of coaches are going to do exactly the same thing.
And why wouldn't they?
AI makes it incredibly easy.
But there's a huge difference between creating a coaching program and creating a coaching program that actually gets results.
ChatGPT can give you 12 modules.
But it hasn't watched thousands of your clients go through them.
It doesn't know which exercise looks brilliant on paper but falls flat when you use it with a real person.
It hasn't watched someone get stuck in week three and learned what needs to happen before they can move forward.
It hasn't spent years refining the order things need to happen in.
It hasn't had to sit opposite someone who isn't getting the result and work out why.
That's where the real value of a program comes from.
It's the results within the program, not the program itself.
Because how can you confidently coach someone through a methodology you've never actually seen work?
How do you know what should happen first?
What can wait?
Where people normally get stuck?
What happens when they don't respond the way the textbook says they should?
And how do you know the outcome you're promising is even realistic?
You don't learn that by asking AI.
You learn it by coaching real people.
Again.
And again.
And again.
That's why the program we give our relationship coaches isn't something I asked ChatGPT to create last Tuesday.
It's built from decades of experience and thousands of people going through this work.
It's been refined by seeing what actually happens with real human beings.
And then we teach our coaches how to coach the methodology, not just give their clients access to some videos.
That's also why the ICF piece matters so much to me.
Because having a beautiful online program doesn't make you a qualified coach.
You still need the coaching skills.
The competency.
The practice.
The feedback.
And the experience of sitting opposite real people and learning what to do when things don't go according to your nice 12-week plan.
That's what I'm talking about in my free live masterclass:
The Coaches AI Can't Replace And How to Become One
Monday 12th October
I'll show you how AI is changing coaching.
Why I believe relationship coaching is such a strong opportunity.
Why the ICF credential matters.
And how we're combining ICF training, real coaching experience and a complete online relationship program and methodology that you can use with your own clients.
By all means, use AI to help you build your worksheets.
Use it to organise your modules.
Use it to make things faster.
I do.
But don't confuse something AI created in 30 seconds with a methodology that's taken years to prove.
The value isn't in the program.
It's in knowing the program works and being good enough to coach someone through it.
That's the difference.
