Introducing 1830 Tribe
Right!! after a lot of overthinking and advice-seeking, I’ve finally decided to create this community: 1830 Tribe - A space for international students in the UK to network, share ideas, and learn from each other’s experiences. I came to the UK as an international student myself. From getting my first part-time job at university, to securing a sponsored role, and eventually becoming a British citizen, every step of the journey felt like something I had to figure out on my own. I often wished I had someone guiding me, supporting me, and helping me navigate the challenges along the way. Now that I’m on the other side of that journey, I want to be that person for others walking a similar path. The name 1830 comes from the hours beyond the typical 9 to 5, the late nights spent building dreams, learning skills, creating opportunities, and working towards something bigger. 1830 Tribe is for people who refuse to compromise. If this resonates with you, come join us. Let’s learn together, grow together, and build stronger futures during challenging times for international students in the UK.

NOTE: This weeks live session is also on Saturday (15.08.2026)
Apologies for not updating this earlier, but this Thursday's live session is moved to Saturday as its results day on the 13th and I will be occupied attending to the other side of my professional life, i.e. to welcome students on their results. Hope to see some of you this Saturday, and apologies for those who were counting on this Thursday. Just a reminder that if you all want to get together, you can still make that happen on your own by organising events from your end. Let me know if you need any support setting these up.

What if I asked - Would you be interested in meeting in person? 👀
1830 Tribe started as an online community, but the bigger vision has always been to create real connections, not just messages on a screen. A few days back, we were brainstorming on how else we could engage with members and someone said maybe creating some in person gatherings is one of the ways.. Maybe... • Networking drinks • Coffee and chats • Casual member meetups • Career-focused conversations • Creative/community socials Nothing too formal to begin with, just a space to meet people on a similar journey, have honest conversations, build confidence, and grow your network in the UK. I know moving abroad can feel isolating at times, so it would be great to create opportunities where members can actually get to know each other beyond the online space. Would this be something you’d be interested in? Also drop your city if you’d be interested 👇
