Right!! after a lot of overthinking and advice-seeking, I’ve finally decided to create this community: 1830 Tribe - A space for international students in the UK to network, share ideas, and learn from each other’s experiences. I came to the UK as an international student myself. From getting my first part-time job at university, to securing a sponsored role, and eventually becoming a British citizen, every step of the journey felt like something I had to figure out on my own. I often wished I had someone guiding me, supporting me, and helping me navigate the challenges along the way. Now that I’m on the other side of that journey, I want to be that person for others walking a similar path. The name 1830 comes from the hours beyond the typical 9 to 5, the late nights spent building dreams, learning skills, creating opportunities, and working towards something bigger. 1830 Tribe is for people who refuse to compromise.
