I have determined that the most effective productivity system is not a planner.
Not a reminder app.
Not even discipline.
It is a cat.
Her name is Siri (short for Sarabi, Simba’s mom, from the Lion King). She is one of the loves of my life and also my personal accountability demon.
When Siri wants something—food, attention, justice—she does not meow.
She does not cuddle.
She does not gently remind.
No.
She escalates!
She knocks things off tables, specifically my nightstand, while I am sleeping.
She flips through notebooks with her claws like, “Oh, were these important?”
She finds the exact behavior that irritates my soul and repeats it until her demands are met.
And it got me thinking…
If I had Siri assigned to my to-do list?
If she started knocking things over every time I procrastinated?
I would be unstoppable!!!
✨ Moral of the story: annoyance is apparently my primary motivator.
✨ Secondary moral: Siri is not just a cat, she is a familiar with a management style.

Preferably snacks—for her. 😼
