Mission statement!
Good morning everyone! What we’re aiming to build is not just an online platform for you to learn but also to be apart of your journey! So over the few weeks I’ll be looking into setting up regular live sessions in SKOOL so that we can do some Q&A’s, tips and anything you want to talk about to help you with your journey! I’ll also be creating platforms for you to share your progress videos and small or big wins and achievements or help you with anything you’re struggling with as much as I can ❤️ Also feel free to leave any suggestions on what you'd like to learn and i'll make an effort to get it recorded! This platform is here for YOU! =) I’ve had so many amazing mentors along the way so I want to be able to give back to our community and especially to you, all those who believed in me and in my team with this project Don’t be afraid to use all these community based features! Feedback on Basics
Hi Jeremy, I´ve been practicing a lot my dominican basics lately, but still feel something is missing. On the tap I am not always able to do the hip, I really need to focus on it. And when I start trying to add some combinations or some shoulder/arm movements or styling I feel like I disconnect a bit and my basic gets rougher. My goal in this phase is to get aesthetically better in my dance, I feel I can do the craziest combos, lead them very well, but the movements don´t see clean or pretty enough. That´s why I´m focusing on basics. Here are some videos from my practice yesterday. I´d really appreciate your feedback and any tip is welcome :D

[Question] How do you approach musicality when you don’t know the song?
Hey Jeremy! I’d love to hear how you approach dancing to a song you’ve never heard before. Do you enjoy it, and how do you find ways to play with the music? When I don’t know a song, I often feel like I’m just repeating familiar figures rather than really connecting with what I hear. I find it harder to enjoy the dance because I don’t know what’s coming. Do you listen for clues to predict accents etc? Or do you focus on reacting to whatever is happening in the moment? I’d really appreciate hearing what goes through your mind and how you’ve learned to feel comfortable with unfamiliar music:) P.S. I’d love to hear from anyone else too!

Bachata Basic Question
Hi Jeremy, I noticed that when you do the linear 'derecho' basic, you don't send your hip to the right and send your chest to the left when you step on 1 like they do in Esencia which is what i was taught. Is it considered incorrect to do this basic, or is it better to learn the traditional Dominican basic instead?
