Writing 'Behind The Curtain' modules
I've been number crunching. I realised I'd made a resource a resource that was i) too detailed ii) too big iii) too deep for general consumptions. This made it really difficult to 'market and sell'. But why? I hear you ask. Surely if it's so massive, it would be simply a case of selling it cheap and it would fly off the shelves. Well not really. There are many emotional and logistical factors involved. Let's imagine I could put my product before 10,000 people at $20.00 each and 3% purchased it. That would result in sales of $20 x 300 = $6000. But I cant reach 10,000. Not even in this day and age on social media. In order to 'reach' 10,000 I'd probably need 3 maybe 4 x that - so 30-40,000 people to achieve $6000. If that is unrealsitic, how about I half the number and double the price? So now $40.00 and aim for 15-20,000 people to get a 6% return on 3% of 5,000 sales. Maybe. so what if I double the price again? So now $80.00 and aim for 7.5 - 10,000 people to get a 3% return from 2,500 sales. This all looks great on paper. But any student of 'The Moz' (That's Alex Hermozi to you) knows you have to shell out some serious wedge to reach people. And I don't have the cash to advertise. So my challenge is to achieve a 'sweet-spot' price-wise against a Minimum Viable Offer. So I am going with a $9.99 price for two-module bundles. Long story short, this holiday season, I'm busily dismantling my 'big products' into marketable smaller modules that I can sell at a reasonable 'sweet-spot' price. Watch this space.
