Half Snatch vs. Snatch

1st ? What is the benefit of HSn vs. Full Snatch?

2nd ? Looking at Belt test, it calls for Snatch. Due to shoulder injuries or say shoulders are not feeling the best, does a HSn still count while doing a test.?
