I have recently become fed up with "blog hosting platforms" like Wix or Ghost, and others. 😤
All of them limit you in some way, and all of them try to upsell you certain premium features. That's why I've decided to leverage the power of Kotlin Multipaltform to help me migrate my blog. I will build my own implementation and build it my way. This is, of course, my very first draft. I don't have any prior experience building servers and web applications, but so far, so good! Will keep you posted on the progress!

📚I love learning new stuff, and I also enjoy learning foreign languages.
So far, I have studied German, Japanese, Portuguese, and French. German was probably the closest one where I got to an actual speaking level - I had a wonderful professor at my university, and I really enjoyed the classes. The rest - I didn't have enough consistency and motivation. However, ever since the war in Ukraine started, learning languages has been less about "fun" and more about necessity. I have noticed that in most parts of the world, you can get by with knowing English just fine. But that way, you never get the full "experience" of the country. You will never be able to speak to that barista who you see everyday, or that cleaning lady, or that mechanic down the street who helped you with your car / bike so much. I've been living in Thailand for 3 years already, and half a year ago, after I received my "long-term" DTV visa I made a decision to learn Thai. I'm far from speaking freely in Thai - in fact, I can't even read half the alphabet yet. But I'm determined to stick this one out. It's really fulfilling to be able to say something and be understood by the locals, and to see their appreciation of your effort is definitely worth it!
