To get the ball rolling and modelling the behaviour, I guess I should be the one to start us off haha.
The past week if not close to two now has been pretty rough.
Our son will be three soon and the emotional rollercoaster is intense.
Up every couple hours of the night screaming.
Whatever you suggest to do is wrong and if you help you are breaking the damn law.
Also knowing you cannot reason with a two year old doesn't stop you from trying when it's the only thing that makes sense, only to become frustrated at yourself for thinking it would work and prolonging the screaming and suffering for everyone.
Moral of the story is, unfortunately, we don't get to curl up in a ball and be defeated when life gets challenging. We have responsibilities and people relying on us to metaphorically lace up those boots and walk out the door.
Something I've been explaining to people whilst going through this is that even though it may not look heavy, doesn't mean it isn't. Just because you make something look easy doesn't mean there isn't any challenge in it. *Insert overused example of being able to lift X amount of weight*.
Time will pass. We'll make it through, obviously.
Just wanted you guys to know I'm going through shit, so if you may be as well, you can at least rest in the fact that you aren't alone in feeling like shit. And that time will pass and we will all be better off on the other side because of it.
