Reacting or Leading?
There is a subtle but important difference between reacting and leading.
Reacting:
responding immediately, addressing what is in front of you, staying in motion
Leading:
deciding what matters first, delaying response when needed, directing attention intentionally
Volume of inputs and pace can cause reaction in place of intentional response.
The shift is not: "be better”.
It is: “decide differently before you respond”
Do you notice yourself reacting or directing more often right now?
Today, try one adjustment:
Before responding to anything important, pause for 3 seconds. Not to slow down, but to decide intentionally.
If you try it, let me know what you notice.
