I’m sharing a clip from the Rosalynn Carter Georgia Mental Health Forum where a group of us business leaders turned Rock, Paper, Scissors into a high-stakes event. It was a blast, but the core takeaway from the forum was serious:
Mental exhaustion is an operational risk.
As entrepreneurs, we are conditioned to focus on growth and execution. But when a founder is mentally overloaded for too long, the business suffers:
1. Communication weakens.
2. Decisions slow down.
3. Execution becomes inconsistent.
We often think we’re "failing" when, in reality, we’re just overloaded.
The goal for everyone in this community shouldn't just be to build a successful business—it’s to build success without emotionally disappearing in the process.
Prioritize your mental "operating system" this week. If the leader is red-lining, the organization will eventually stall.
