Old identity: write in detail how I feel now, what it cost, all current traits. Feel the pain.
New identity: imagine the future version living that moment in detail.
Non-negotiables: 3 actions aligned with the new version, done every day.
Proof: Repeated actions. The brain looks for patterns.
Three problem areas
1. Body
Old: obese, high body fat, high cholesterol, low flexibility, can’t wear some T-shirts.
New: 27%→ 20% BF , confirmed by DEXA scan. Clothes fit without a protruding stomach, better insulin sensitivity, look muscular, feel yourself in the college friends’ group.
Deadline written: March 15, 2026.
2. New friends and relationships
Old: speak little, walls built from childhood experience, fear of being taken advantage of, can’t take a “no” so you don’t ask. Result: no friends, no gatherings, empty social life. This was part of why i moved back to India.
New: quality over quantity. Friends who are motivated, fun-loving, respectful, with shared gatherings and motives. You make the first effort.
Non-negotiable: smile and say hello to random people, and appreciate them if notice worth mentioning.
3. Entrepreneur
Old: employee all my life, now jumping into the unknown.
New: successful entrepreneur, solving problems for high-value clients, ₹10L per month income. Skills seeking : persuasive, ability to sell, OK taking “no”, overcoming imposter syndrome.
Non-negotiable: complete everyday tasks, treat work as a calling, master the craft, top 1%, no regrets.
