I have multiple grandchildren i’m raising so it’s a little overwhelming but I have help 3 days a week with housework and babysitting. I’ve started Mondays as one on one time. Each child gets me for at least an hour on their own. It made for a long day for me but it was delightful to be present with just one. I could talk with them, be silly and play and enjoy them completely without interruption. We played the music they liked and grabbed a snack as shared it. We call it Coffee break with Mom. I enjoyed it and hope that this can be something we can do together every Monday. I didn’t feel overwhelmed. It was joyful! What are some of the things you do for one on one time with your little person?

I’m 55. Not old but not young. My littles are 6,5 and 3. It’s been rough. have had them 4 years now..baby since born., 2 years ago had open heart surgery. been kind of crazy roller coaster. Love these kids and work to keep life stable. Blessed we could do it but it’s hard work. Overwhelm is reality of my life. Seeking balance and trying to carve out time for myself. We adopted ours. Bio Dad doing well now. Bio Mom died. Drugs were the problem. Kids adjusting. We are too. We have a good life, just different than most grandparents. Much love here in our home and glad of it.
