🦺 START HERE — Welcome to Built to Last! I’m Layne. Lisa and I have owned our home improvement company since 2008, and we still work in the field. Along with Kelli, our trusted Assistant, we’re building a place where you can ask the business questions that knowing your trade doesn’t automatically answer. Maybe you’re unsure what to charge for unfamiliar work. Maybe you have estimates waiting for follow-up, or a client who keeps adding things. Bring those situations here. You don’t need to have everything figured out before you participate. 👷 STEP 1: Introduce yourself In the comments section below share: 1. Your name and where you work. 2. What your business does and how long you’ve been at it. 3. One part of running your business you want to handle better. Be specific with that last one. “I need help with scheduling” gives us a starting point. “I keep promising start dates before I know when the current job will finish” gives us something we can work through. Then welcome another member. Read their introduction and ask a question or share something relevant from your experience. 🚧 A few expectations Ask questions without putting yourself down. Offer advice without talking down to someone else. Respect client privacy, and ask before sending another member a sales message. We’ll encourage you, and we’ll also ask you to look at your part when the same problem keeps repeating. That’s how this becomes useful. 👷 Start below: What’s your name, what work do you do, and what’s one business problem you’re ready to work on?
