What's one thing you said to yourself this week that you'd never say to a friend?

I am allowed to change my mind, my direction, and my story. I choose to see every ending as a beginning in disguise. I trust that I am always being guided toward something better. I am not lost, because I am being redirected.

He and his co-author pitched a non-fiction book to publisher after publisher and were turned down again and again. The rejections totaled more than 100. Some told them the book had no market because short, inspirational stories wouldn't sell. But he had long practiced what he teaches. He described taping a fake $100,000 bill to his ceiling, so he'd see it every morning. He used daily visualization and affirmations throughout this period. Jack Canfield and his co-author Mark Victor Hansen kept going. Finally, a small publisher finally yes. Chicken Soup for the Soul launched in 1993 and spawned a series that has sold hundreds of millions of copies worldwide. Canfield treated every "no" as one step closer to the right "yes." He kept his vision in front of him daily, literally, until the world caught up. "Every 'no' is one step closer to the right 'yes.'"
