🇪🇸 Clase de Español: ¿Qué tienes tú? (What do you have?)

Today we're learning one of the most important verbs in Spanish:
⭐ The Verb: TENER
Tener = To have
The infinitive (dictionary form) is:
➡️ tener = to have
Just like English changes:
- I have
- You have
- He has
Spanish also changes the verb depending on who is doing the action. This is called conjugation.

🎂 TENER Is Also Used for AGE!
In English we say:
➡️ "I am 30 years old."
But in Spanish we literally say:
➡️ I have 30 years.
This is one of the first big differences between English and Spanish!

How old are you?
Answers:
🗣️ Tengo seis años.(I am six years old.)
🗣️ Tengo diez años.(I am ten years old.)
🗣️ Tengo veinte años.(I am twenty years old.)
🗣️ Tengo treinta años.(I am thirty years old.)
🗣️ Tengo cuarenta años.(I am forty years old.)
