🔧 Tools Every Apprentice Must Own (Don’t Skip These)
If you’re starting out in the trade, tools matter more than you think. These are the non-negotiables every apprentice plumber should have 👇
🧰 Adjustable spanners (2 sizes)You’ll use these every single day. Cheap ones will slip—don’t do that to yourself.
🔩 Pipe gripsFor stubborn fittings and awkward angles. Absolute lifesaver on site.
✂️ Pipe cuttersClean cuts = fewer leaks. Hacksaws are a last resort.
🪛 Screwdriver setFlathead + Phillips at minimum. Magnetic tips = bonus points.
📏 Tape measureMeasure twice. Cut once. Get shouted at less.
🔦 Torch / head torchCupboards, lofts, under sinks—light is power.
🧤 Gloves & knee padsYour body is your career. Protect it early.
📒 Notebook or notes appWrite everything down. The best apprentices always do.
👉 You don’t need every tool on day one — but these will keep you useful, safe, and respected on site.
