El Roi,
Today we stand in who you are, the God who sees us. Just as you saw Hagar in the wilderness, you see every parent who feels overwhelmed, tired, or stretched beyond their strength today.
Lord Jesus, so many of us carry burdens that no one else sees, the weight of providing, the worry over our children’s future, the emotional load of holding a family together. The battle with self, the self-sabotaging thoughts and the moments where we struggle with our identity in you, smiling on the outside while a storm brews on the inside of us. Lord I pray that you steady our hearts today and help us to “cast all our cares upon you because you care for us.” (1 Peter 5:7)
Father, we lay every burden at your feet today, we lean into your grace, and we ask Daddy that carry us.
For the parent who feels exhausted renew their strength according to Isaiah 40:31.
For the parent who feels inadequate remind them that your grace is sufficient, and your power is made perfect in all weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).
For the parent carrying financial stress, emotional strain, or silent tears be their provider, their peace, and their rest. Lord, help us to remember your call to come to you when we are burdened, and you will give us rest.
Today we choose to release the pressure of trying to control everything, trying to do so many things on our own. Lord, we surrender our children, our homes, our finances, our spiritual lives, our purpose and our future into your capable hands.
Fill every parent with wisdom, patience, and supernatural peace as we do our best to lead those you have entrusted in our care. Remind us that we were chosen for our children on purpose. When the days feel long and the nights feel heavy, remind our hearts that we are not carrying this alone.
Thank you, Father, for walking with us, strengthening us, and covering our families.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
