Kids will have you questioning your entire salvation by 7:14 a.m. They ask 400 questions before breakfast, request a snack 17 seconds after you just fed them, and suddenly forget how to walk when it’s time to clean. They break things you didn’t even know you owned, argue like they passed the bar, and stare at you blankly after you just gave them five clear instructions. One minute they’re calling you the best mommy in the world and the next, they’re screaming because their sock “feels weird.”

And while we post the cute pictures and quote the Bible verses, many of us are secretly battling anger, shame, resentment, and the haunting thought, “I don’t even like my kid right now.” The struggle is real. So let’s jump into the realness behind parenting the parts we’re too embarrassed to say out loud. The parts God still wants to heal.
