Day #7: Faith
Good morning ☀️ Congratulations! You've made it to Day #7! In all honesty, this fast was selfishly intended to be between me and my mother coming into agreement and fasting for a move of God. I was at a space where I knew what God promised me, I haven't seen it come to pass yet, I understood what times we were in with it being the last days, but I feared the Lord TOO MUCH to where I wasn't going to go outside of His will to get it. Because if it was up to ME, we would be addressing the story of the Canaanite woman in Matthew 15. BUT God took it as an opportunity to use me as His mouthpiece and to mold me, and to use me in the assignment He has called me to be as a teacher and prophet to those who He calls me to, and that.. includes.. YOU. So I apologize to all that I didn't consider you INITIALLY (obviously, I came to my senses QUICKLY) to be a part of this move of God. In God's mercy to me, He corrected me and in God's love for you, He made sure you had the opportunity to be a part of this fast. May you not take that lightly. I am learning more and more as we get closer to the last days (however many days, years, or decades, there are), that we have to be less and less selfish. This isn't the time put things off as we come closer to the end. It is time for us to pick it up, if it's truly the fourth quarter (which it is!). When God gave me the topics for each day I automatically assumed what would be the message. (And I was WRONG on everyday except day #4 😭) But with His love, He guided me, corrected me, and showed me what He wanted the message to be. There was plenty of daily hours spent with Him CONVICTING ME as I prepared every message in REAL TIME and believing that He knew best. Words can't explain enough of today's topic in its full capacity but I pray that you TOO are convicted and get new revelation and learn to trust His guiding Hand. Let's begin. 😊 WHAT IS FAITH? Faith (in Greek) means CONVICTION of the TRUTH of anything and to BELIEVE Relating to God, it's the CONVICTION that He exists and is the Creator and Ruler of ALL (including things and people) and the CONVICTION that He is the bestower of eternal salvation THROUGH Christ
Day #6: Praise & Thanksgiving
Good morningggggg! ☀️ I am so excited about this message because it brought so much light to a lot of misconceptions we have about money. Now, what does money have to do with praise and thanksgiving?? I asked the same thing because I didn't quite understand the correlation but I realized that doing this brings glory to God and that is a form of praise and being in the position to HAVE something to give should automatically put us in the posture to want to give thanks but ride this ride with me. We are starting in Matthew 6 versus 1-4. Matthew 6:1-4 (KJV)- "Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have NO REWARD of your Father which is in heaven. 2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do NOT sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: 4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly." NLT reads “Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. 2 When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will EVER GET. 3 But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. 4 Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward YOU." WHAT I REALIZED: It's all in the posture of how you give and the reason for giving. For example, there are charitable organizations that do GREAT service but some focus on the NUMBERS of how many they've helped. Then you have others who focus on the IMPACT of WHO they've helped AND can run laps in the amount of people they've helped compared to the first one but all you'll ever know is the testimonies of those who they've helped. See the difference? The Bible says in Revelation 12:11 that we overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the WORD of our testimony. Therefore showing/telling others how we helped people to unconsciously convince others that we are a good people or make it a competition of who's done more is the wrong posture. There is power when we share our testimony of how we've helped someone and the impact it had to help ENCOURAGE someone else to give is another story and the right posture. Because, at the end of the day, we want to partake in kind acts so that others can learn how to be kind. This is a part of living and being set a part as Christians.
