There’s a New Video in the Bonus Module!
Hey everyone! I know it's been a while. I had to take some time off due to some health issues and to heal from some injuries, but I am finally back and with new updates and content! I just added a video to the Bonus Module of the course: "My Process: My Biggest Self Portrait Painting" During my break off socials, I worked on a lot of different paintings and videos, and this is one I’ve been working on nonstop for months now. It shows the full process of my biggest self portrait painting I finished back in March. You all get the extended version, with more behind the scenes footage and extra conversations that I think about while creating. The shorter version will be up on my Youtube Channel on Sunday, so that also means you get this video earlier than anyone!! I just want to say thank you all as well for supporting me through this journey and believing in me so much that you want to learn what I know about oil painting and create with me! I shoutout every student by name at the end of my youtube video :) I hope you enjoy, and that this summer has been full of art and inspiration. There’s more to come very soon, and I will be more active now that I’m back!

🎨 Hello Artists! Whether you're an experienced painter or just starting your artistic journey, I'm so happy to have you in KBladeArt School. The goal of this community is to help and inspire you with your painting, artistic creativity, and growth. I have now moved my course: Brushstrokes Beneath the Surface: A Creative Guide to Oil Painting, to Skool (what you're viewing this on). This transition has been a long process, but I am so grateful to you all for being patient and ready to learn! Right now my first oil painting course is the only thing available, but I plan to add so many more lessons, BTS, and exclusive content here :) Inside this community we'll be: - learning oil painting techniques - studying portraits, figures, and human emotion in art - sharing works in progress - giving feedback and encouragement - pushing through creative blocks together - and more! There are already a lot of great community features on this platform, but if you prefer discord we also have a class server: KB ART SCHOOL DISCORD To get things started, I'd love for you to introduce yourself (if you haven't already)! Feel free to copy and paste the following questions into your comment and share your artistic endeavors. - What is your name/nickname? - Where are you from? - How long have you been practicing art? - What artistic challenges do you currently face? - I would love to see your artwork! Post one of your recent paintings or what you are working on right now. Classroom Rules 🖌️ 🎨 - Be kind and respectful of other members. Harassment, hate speech, and rude comments won't be tolerated. Everyone is here to learn and grow together. - Only give constructive feedback to other members. When giving critique focus on being helpful, specific, and respectful. - No self-promotion. Please don't advertise your own products, services, or social media unless you get permission from the instructor. - No NSFW or graphic/offensive content. Art nudity for learning is fine if it's clearly educational (if unsure, ask the instructor for permission)

first two pics: the start of a new series, wanting to dive deeper into the octopus thing, but also struggling with overworking a piece like usual lol (I like the first pic better) second two pics: I’m entering into an art contest where the theme is “the mundane ritual” and decided to paint my grandmother for it, but can’t choose which composition to do so I did some tiny studies. I started one last night but might start a different one today!
