The Visionary Heading
The Next Chapter: Shaping Our Legacy Together We have built the Blueprint, but a blueprint is only the beginning. Now, we begin the work of living in this space together. This membership is not just a library of lessons; it is a living, breathing ecosystem designed to support you. As we grow, this sanctuary will expand into the areas you need most—from the practicalities of first aid and fundraising to the deep soul-work of navigating grief and loss. How you show up is up to you: • The Co-Creator: Do you have a story to tell or an expertise to share? This is your platform. We welcome your feedback, your "shaping" of future modules, and invitations to co-host our bi-monthly webinars. • The Village Member: Engage in our talks, ask questions, share your victories (no matter how small), and offer a virtual hand to a fellow rescuer. • The Invisible Guest: If you are exhausted, if your heart is heavy, or if you simply need a place to sit and "take it all in" without being seen—this space is for you. You are welcome to sit in the back, listen, and let the community carry the light for a while. What’s on the Horizon? We are already dreaming of new wings for our Sanctuary: • The Rescue Encyclopaedia: A quick-reference guide for busy hands. • The Sustenance Strategy: Sustainable fundraising that fuels the mission. • The Weight of the Heart: Dedicated space for grief, loss, and safeguarding. This is just the beginning. We have a great vision, but it only works if it serves the people on the frontlines. Thank you for being here, for your heart, and for your voice. Let’s build the world we want to see, one gentle step at a time. 🤍

Your Guide to the Sanctuary 🤎
Welcome home. Whether you’re a rescuer on the front lines, a volunteer, a traveler who just couldn't walk past a soul in need, or someone supporting from afar—you’re in exactly the right place. This space is different. While we are all here because we love animals, this specific corner of the internet is dedicated to you. Because helping animals can be heavy, and you shouldn't have to carry that weight until you break. Here, we focus on helping in a way that is: • Thoughtful, not reactive. • Sustainable, not overwhelming. • Effective, not exhausting. The Sanctuary is a living, breathing space. I’ll be adding new resources, "life hacks," and quiet sessions regularly, but there is never any pressure for you to "keep up." 🐾 How to enjoy this space: • Explore the Library: Dip into the modules whenever you need a boost. There are no "grades" here—just tools. • Go at your own pace: If you only have five minutes between vet runs, that’s plenty. • Take what you need: Some days you’ll want a strategy; some days you’ll just want to know someone else understands. Both are okay. • Join our Quiet Sessions: We’ll have regular support calls and guest chats. Think of these as a digital sofa where you can pull up a chair and just listen. Most importantly… you do not have to do this alone anymore. Thank you for being here, and for everything you do for the animals. 🤎 Liz & Kathleen 🐾

🐾 Welcome to Your Soft Place to Land 🐾
Hi, I’m Liz. If you’re here, it’s likely because you have a heart that beats for the ones who can't speak for themselves. Like me, you’ve probably stood in the trenches of rescue, looked into the eyes of a street dog, and felt that overwhelming drive to do something. But I also know the weight of that drive. I founded this sanctuary because of a dog named Kathleen. She was my "why" on the streets of Bulgaria, and she remains my "why" today. She taught me that animal rescue is beautiful, but it is also heavy. Too often, the people who care the most—people like you—are the ones who get left behind. We carry the grief, the vet bills, and the "what ifs" until we have nothing left to give. Kathleen’s Paws: The Rescuer’s Sanctuary is here to make sure you don't have to carry that alone anymore. Inside this space, the pressure is off. This isn't a classroom where you have "more work" to do. It’s a place to: • Breathe: Find shared understanding with people who actually get it. • Recover: Access gentle "Life Hacks" for dealing with loss, burnout, and compassion fatigue. • Connect: Share stories (or just listen) in a space that is 100% judgment-free. • Grow: Learn how to help animals sustainably, so you can stay in the fight without losing yourself. Whether you are doing TNR on the streets, fostering in your kitchen, or supporting from a distance—you are the priority here. You help the animals. Let us help you. With love and paws, Liz & Kathleen 🐾

🌿 Cuddle Corner Guest Speaker Session 🌿
This Wednesday, I’m delighted to be joined by author, journalist and wellbeing coach Jo Carnegie for a conversation that I think will resonate deeply with many people working in animal welfare. Jo went from interviewing A-list celebrities and writing bestselling novels to spending time helping street dogs in India. Today, she is passionate about supporting the wellbeing and mental health of women working in the animal welfare space. Together we’ll be exploring: • Looking after your wellbeing while caring for others • Recognising and preventing founder burnout • The emotional realities of animal welfare work • Effective storytelling for small charities and rescue organisations • Building sustainable support and funding models Animal welfare can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also be emotionally demanding. This session is an opportunity to pause, reflect, and gain practical tools to help you continue doing the work you care about—without losing yourself in the process. 📅 Wednesday 3rd June 2026 ⏰ 16:00 GMT 📍 Inside Kathleen’s Paws Rescuers Sanctuary Because caring for animals starts with caring for the humans behind the work too. #AnimalWelfare #CompassionFatigue #RescueCommunity #AnimalRescue #KathleensPaws
