The Importance of SOUND DESIGN at TOF (AIDA)

✨This is about a different type of Design: SOUND Design.

I've posted a similar ring before, as a dynamic visual with all of the pieces of the ring being assembled. Those types of posts will be relevant forever, because we make things in this industry, and people like to see how things are made.

The question becomes - how do we elevate the perception of the things we make?

How do you make people feel a particular emotion, and anchor it into the product - a piece of Jewelry?

✨Sound Design and Score (Music) will be the biggest lever you can pull in that regard.

Why?

Because, from an evolutionary perspective, humans depend on noticing changes in our environment in order to survive. (In AIDA: think "Awareness/Attention").

Furthermore, Music has immense impacts on human beings psychologically. When a human hears music, their brain immediately responds in the form of changing the rhythm and frequency of their brain waves to make sense of the new stimulus.

That may sound "sciency" - so let me simplify:

✨Sound Design & Music pull the Customer into your world, and get their brain waves to match the world you are creating with intention.

Notice how the Sound Design in this example is more textural - and seems to have an elevated or spiritual quality to it. It creates an atmosphere around the ring, that suddenly disappears if you toggle off the sound.

Keep this in mind when you hear either me, or another Brand Specialist talk about "World Building."

Without sonic cues, there is no world...
