After being in the world of entrepreneurship and marketing for over six years, I found out a few things:
1: More than 130,000 new businesses in the United States are started every day
2: Roughly 1 out of 5 of those businesses will fail within the first year, and half of them will fail within the first 5.
3: Despite those numbers, the fact is that small, family-owned businesses were the norm for hundreds of years before large corporations became what people relied on.
4: These large businesses are letting us down. It's harder to get a job than ever before, pensions were replaced with 401 (k) plans that we can barely retire off of, social security is an uncertainty, and even if you're blessed to find a career, job satisfaction is at an all-time low (a 66% decline since 2022 according to Pew Research center).
Also, the rate of inflation continues to outpace wage increases.
There's only one answer to fixing these issues in our personal lives, and that's through entrepreneurship.
