Thursday's Reflection: “Before You Said ‘I Do’”
Hey godly wives,
Most of us grew up wanting to be wives long before we understood what that truly meant.
Our ideas about marriage often came from what we saw — movies, family, culture, and other worldly standards — not always from God’s Word.
So when the moment came to say “I do,” many of us didn’t stop to ask:
👉 Did I invite God into this decision?
👉 Do I understand His purpose for marriage and my role as a wife according to Scripture?
👉 Or was I led more by emotions, timing, or worldly desires?
This reflection isn’t to bring guilt or shame — it’s to bring clarity and biblical alignment.
Because when you understand why you said yes, you can pinpoint exactly where you may have gone wrong and begin to bridge the gap to walk in God’s design for marriage with confidence and grace.
If you feel led, take the poll & share your thoughts in the comments below 💬
I shared my "why" for marriage in this live last weekend. https://youtu.be/-TXr-XLXziw?si=R5Y4Z3_gm6knqKgl Would love to hear what your initial "why" was for getting married as well🥰
And remember — this week’s challenge is to speak only life over your husband and your marriage. The Word of God IS life and it never returns void.🩷
I understood God’s purpose for marriage & my biblical role as a wife before saying "I do"
I was led more by emotions, timing, or worldly desires when I said "I do"
