My daughter has been off school I’ll… We got a phone call off the school stating they would be visiting the house and that she needed to come to the window so the teacher could see her to make sure she was safe after day 5 of being off. The school was promptly told that they were not aloud near the property and if they did come near it they would be politely turned away at the door following that would be a formal compliant. It was explained that my daughter is a well loved well looked after child and social work has never been remotely involved with our family and never will be because my children are loved and protected. It was also explained that this is a huge overstep as far as I am concerned on the school/ governments part. If the child has a history of being in danger/ abused then yes I am all for protecting kids. But if the kid has a good level of attendance is happy in themselves and is turning up to school in clean dry clothes then they should not be attempting to come to your house. If the kids I’ll there I’ll. What the hell is going on in the uk at the moment ? I am so glad my youngest only has 2 years left at high school. Let the parents parent and the teachers teach…. What are your thoughts on this ?

Daily update day 1…. Hello skool…. Time to be real for a minute… It’s 11pm at night and only now am I getting the time to upload here… My wife and kids have been ill this weekend from Friday with the flue and I have had to juggle keeping the house running, work, looking after the reptiles and fluffy animals…. And at one point an a and e trip… Everyone is ok but my message here is clear… No one and I mean no one knows what each other is facing or dealing with so as well as giving each other some grace you have to give yourself some grace. What has been your biggest challenge so far this weekend/week and how did you deal with it ?
