But sometimes I simply need to talk to someone who understands the gifts, responsibilities, and emotional impact that come with doing this work. For most of us, that person isn't our family. It isn't always our friends. Many people care about us, but they don't truly understand what this work can feel like. After more than 20 years in this field, I realized I could find classes, development circles, and business groups... but finding genuine support was much harder.
