9d • Reflection Space
Reflection
“To Him belongs the call of truth; and those they call upon besides Him never respond to them in anything. No more than one who stretches out his hands toward water hoping it will reach his mouth, but it will never reach him. And the prayer of the disbelievers is only in vain.”
[Surah Ar-Raʿd: 14]
Commentary:
“Whoever attaches himself to other than Allah has surrendered his weakness to weakness, his incapacity to incapacity, and his need to poverty.
So how can he ever rectify his condition or reach his hopes, when he has delivered his soul to such an end?!”
