Hawa Mahal, in Jaipur, is one of India’s most recognisable architectural landmarks. Its delicate honeycomb façade, small windows, and warm pink tones make it a beautiful subject to paint. I was drawn to its rhythm, detail, atmosphere, and the sense of history held within the building.

For me, painting heritage sites is not only about recording architecture. It is about memory, travel, observation, and the feeling of standing before a place that carries cultural meaning.

In this work, I wanted to capture the Palace of Winds with warmth, light, and quiet atmosphere — allowing the building to feel both historic and alive.
