Power of Personal Brand
From 0 to Community: My Skool Journey 🚀
When I first joined Skool back in October, I honestly didn’t pay much attention to the “community” side of things. I was just using it because some vendors and coaching programs I worked with were here.
But something clicked: What if I built one myself?
It took me 10 months of building my personal brand before I ever saw traction, but once the foundation was there, the community really started to grow in just 2 months.
Here’s what worked for me (and it’s simpler than most people think):
  1. Post about your community consistently - I shared updates on LinkedIn for 2 months straight. Nothing fancy, just consistent visibility.
  2. Run a friendly competition inside your community - I encouraged members to invite others before switching over to a paid model. That simple challenge created momentum.
That’s it. Two simple moves.
Last week, I even experimented with Facebook ads at $10/day to see if it would help. Honestly? Didn’t see much come from it. But that’s the beauty of testing - you try, you learn, you adjust.
👉 The takeaway: You don’t need big budgets, complicated funnels, or secret hacks. Growth comes from showing up, sharing your vision, and creating a space people actually want to be part of.
If you’re just starting, don’t be discouraged by slow beginnings. Remember — the seeds you plant today will be the shade you sit under tomorrow. 🌱
Keep building. Keep showing up. Your community will come. 💪
