Hello, beloved community,
There is a shift happening. Can you feel it?
Not just in the turning of the calendar page, or the fact that the sunlight is lingering a little longer at the end of the day. Iâm talking about a visceral, energetic hum beneath the surface of our reality. The Earth is stretching. The dormant seedsâboth in the soil and in the depths of our soulsâare beginning to stir.
In the metaphysical tradition, Spring is not merely a season; it is a portal. It is the cosmic exhale after a long, introspective winter. For the past few months, we have been in the underworld of our own consciousness. The darkness asked us to go inward, to shed, to hibernate, and to confront the quiet parts of ourselves that only emerge when the external world goes still.
But now? The veil is thinningânot between worlds, but between potential and manifestation.
The Alchemy of the Equinox
As we cross the threshold of the Spring Equinox (or embrace the building momentum toward it), we enter a time of perfect balance. Day and night stand as equals for just a fleeting moment. In that balance lies immense power. It is the point in the zodiacal wheel where we are given a cosmic green light to bring our intentions out of the shadows and into the light.
This is the season of Albedoâthe alchemical stage of whitening, purification, and resurrection. Just as the alchemists sought to purify lead into gold, Spring invites us to purify our visions. What did you conceive in the quiet of winter? What dreams have been incubating in the darkness?
Now is the time to let them break ground.
The Archetype of the Seed
Spiritually, we are no different than the crocus pushing its head through the frost. To grow, the seed must first believe it is worthy of the sun. It must trust its own internal blueprint, even when the soil is still cold and the path seems obstructed by stone.
I invite you to look at your life right now and ask:
- Where am I being called to emerge?
- What âbudâ have I been holding back for fear of a late frost?
- What energy am I ready to resurrect after a period of grief, rest, or stagnation?
Spring energy is Yangâactive, outward, expansive. It asks us to stop waiting for the âperfectâ conditions and to grow anyway. It is the season of courage wrapped in green.
Spring Cleaning for the Spirit
Youâve likely heard of spring cleaning for the home, but letâs talk about the metaphysical detox.
Winter energy can sometimes leave us energetically stagnant. As the Earth releases its ice, we are called to release our own:
- Old Stories: What narrative have you been telling yourself that no longer fits who you are becoming?
- Stale Energy: Walk through your space with a bell, incense, or simply the intention of clearing out the heavy energy of the past. Open the windows. Let the windâthe breath of Spiritârenew your sanctuary.
- Heavy Contracts: Are there commitments, relationships, or thought patterns that belong to your âold selfâ? Spring is a compassionate time to gently lay them down.
A Simple Ritual for the Season
To honor this shift, I invite you to try this small but potent practice over the next few days:
- Ground: Go outside. Kick off your shoes if you can. Place your hands on the Earth. Feel the rising warmth. Acknowledge that the same life force pushing the grass to grow is flowing through your veins.
- Plant: You donât need a garden. Write down an intentionâsomething you wish to grow this seasonâon a small piece of biodegradable paper. Plant it in a pot of soil. As you water it over the coming weeks, you are watering your own soul with the intention of consistency and nurturing.
- Anoint: Use oils or essences associated with renewalârosemary for remembrance of self, peppermint for invigoration, or the gentle scent of lavender to soothe the transition from rest to action.
We Are Growing Together
This community is a garden of sorts. We are each in our own patch of soil, experiencing our own unique microclimate, but we are rooted in the same Sun. As we move into this season of expansion, letâs support one another in breaking through the surface.
What is one thing that is beginning to stir in your soul as Spring approaches?
Are you planting a new business? Calling in a new love? Returning to a creative practice that went dormant? Or perhaps this Spring is about the quiet growth of inner peace?
Share below. Letâs witness the awakening together.
Blessed Spring, beautiful souls. May you grow wildly, unapologetically, and in perfect alignment with your highest timeline.
