Welcome to INDIGO Abacus & Mental Maths! ๐Ÿงฎ
Hey everyone, I'm Natalia โ€” I run Indigo abacus maths classes and I created this little corner of the internet because honestly, I kept getting the same questions over and over ๐Ÿ˜„ "How is this different from normal maths tutoring?" "How do I support my child at home?" "Can adults learn this too?" So here we are! This is a free space for our current Indigo families, parents who are exploring abacus maths, and anyone who's just curious about it. Here you can: - ๐Ÿ™‹ Ask anything - ๐Ÿ† Share your child's wins - ๐Ÿ“š Get tips and resources - ๐Ÿ’ฌ Just chat with other parents A few simple rules to keep this a nice place to be ๐Ÿ‘‡ 1. Be kind โ€” we're all at different stages, respect that 2. No spam or self-promotion โ€” this isn't the place for it 3. Stay on topic โ€” abacus, maths, learning, kids. That's our thing 4. Celebrate each other โ€” someone shares a win? Give them a like ๐Ÿ‘

When your child says "I can't" โ€” the guide
From experience, parents rarely get in touch asking how to do a calculation. One of the most asked questions is: what do I actually say when my child gets something wrong and shuts down? That moment when they say "I can't" and you can see the shame starting โ€” what comes out of your mouth in the next 30 seconds matters more than the maths. And most of us default to things that accidentally make it worse. That's why I put this together. Your guide is attached below. If you've only got 10 minutes, start with page 7. It's a 7-day thing you can try at the dinner table. No prep, no materials, just a different way to talk about mistakes as a family. Quick question for anyone reading this: what's something you've tried that actually worked? Even once. Drop it below ๐Ÿ™Œ
