“Our Need For Transformation”
“And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” ~2 Corinthians 3:18 NIV
Transformation is a profound, fundamental change in form, nature, or appearance. It involves realizing adaptation, a full structural rearrangement, and improvement, often leading to a new state that cannot return to its original form. Our Heavenly Father, God and Creator Word is transformative. This transformation is not a sudden, dramatic shift, but a gradual, continuous process. It's like to a single seed that, when planted in fertile soil and nurtured with care, grows into a strong, sturdy plant. This growth, this transformation, is what we are called to pursue in our spiritual walk with Jesus Christ.
The Scriptures remind us of this call in 2 Peter 3:18, where we are urged to "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." This growth, is not merely about acquiring knowledge. It's about allowing this knowledge to permeate our hearts and minds, to shape our thoughts, words, and actions, and to guide us in our daily lives. It's about growing in grace, in the love and mercy of Jesus Christ, and allowing this growth to reflect in our daily interactions with other human beings. We all must be willing to be taught by our Heavenly Father. When we look to Him for guidance, He will transform our adversities into times of learning. Such was the case with Mary and Martha when their brother Lazarus died (John 11:17-27). We need willing spirits if we are to learn what God wants to teach us.
But remember in our pursuit of spiritual progress, we must also be mindful of the challenges that we may encounter. The path to spiritual growth is not always smooth. There will be obstacles, trials, and tribulations. But, dear family and friends, let us not be disheartened. For these challenges are not meant to deter us, but to strengthen us. They are opportunities for us to demonstrate our transformation of our faith, to practice perseverance, and to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ.
“Change is inevitable, but transformation is a choice.”

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” ~Romans 12:2 NIV
