“Waiting For Our April Showers”
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.” ~ Philippians 4:19 NIV
Even an April light rain can release thousands of gallons of water in an hour, amounting to millions of individual rain drops! That’s also the way our Heavenly Father showers us with His blessings. He sends countless small mercies into our lives, meeting our needs according to His riches. Philippians 4:19 is a vivid promise, but don’t forget the context. In this passage, the apostle Paul was thanking the Philippians for financially supporting his work. In return he promised God would meet all their needs.
We need the rain of truth in our lives. The truth and the revelation that we receive from God our Creator will bring freedom and deliverance to us. Just as rain causes the crops to grow and yeild a harvest, the word that comes from God will accomplish His purpose in our lives. When we are obedient to the word of God , we will be on a firm foundation and can withstand any storm that we may face. Take time today and meditate on 2 Timothy 2:19.
