Write something
📸 Hi everyone, I’m Rose — writing from sunny Las Vegas, where the lights may be bright, but I’ve always been drawn to the shadows in old photos.
There’s something so powerful about a faded image… The way a simple smile from the past can whisper a whole life story. I’ve always believed that photos are time-travel in disguise — tiny portals into moments that shaped who we are, even if we never met the people in them. I’d love to hear the stories behind your favorite photo — the ones that still make you pause, smile, or wonder. Feel free to share here or message me directly. Sometimes the best conversations start with a single photograph. 💌

Little House on the Prairie
Love this photo of Laura Ingalls Wilder hanging out their neighbors at the famed Rocky Ridge Farm.

Packhorse Library Program from 1934
These four women are seen starting a day's work as part of Roosevelt's 1934 "Packhorse Library Program" that would deliver thousands of books to families deep in the mountains of eastern Kentucky and West Virginia. We remember hearing stories from our grandparents about when the "book lady" would come by, and they said these were some of the kindest, most persistent women they'd ever met. Thank you for your work ladies!
