๐ŸŒฑ Networking vs. Connecting ๐ŸŒฑ
Ivan Misner said it best: โ€œNetworking is more about farming than it is about hunting. Itโ€™s about cultivating relationships.โ€
And Dr. Misner knows a thing or two about this topic. Being the Founder of BNI - Business Network International, he is not doubt an authority on the matter.
Too often, people treat networking like a numbers game - shaking hands, swapping cards, chasing transactions. But thatโ€™s a short-term mindset.
Real growth comes from planting seeds, nurturing them, and letting relationships deepen before you try to expand.
Go deep first, go wide later.
๐Ÿ”ธDepth creates trust.
๐Ÿ”นTrust fuels opportunities.
๐Ÿ”ธAnd opportunities multiply into volume.
Thatโ€™s why I prefer the term Connecting over Networking. ๐Ÿ’ซ
The word itself carries a different energy - less transactional, more transformational.
When you connect, youโ€™re not trying to โ€œgetโ€ something. Youโ€™re trying to build something.
๐Ÿ‘‰ How about you?
Do you approach new conversations as a connection... or a transaction?
