Many of us struggle with reoccurring anxiety, and often struggle to navigate or share our internal experiences.
What is anxiety?
It's a state of constant worry to the point where our minds can't stay in a state of calm. Worry comes from FEAR ➡️ when we experience fear, our body goes into an ALERT MODE 🚨.
A part of our brain called "amygdala" is responsible to keep us alert. For example, if you hear a loud noise while driving on the road, you react right away - either by looking/stopping, etc). That's your amygdala activating as soon as it detected danger to keep you safe.
Therefore, you detect Danger ➡️ Fear ➡️ Worry ➡️ Alert.
When does it exactly turn into anxiety?
It's when you're in ALERT MODE for PROLONGED PERIOD of time, even when there is no Immediate Danger. Which means your brain is 'anticipating a possible danger' which is still not here.
(Physical symptom: racing heart, sweaty palms, sleep disturbance)
What's the solution?
- Identify the fear, what is your Brain thinking about? Fear often comes from Uncertainty. ‼️
- Once you identify the uncertainty, you must recognize 'over thinking' isn't helping.
- Write down 5 different ACTIONS you can take to reduce that Uncertainty.
- Choose the TOP 2 actions out of the 5.
- Act on it, immediately.
It works like magic.
Trying it and share how it helped you, your story might help someone else too. ✨🤏🏻
