Let's learn how to work with square wire! This is a great tutorial for beginners who want to learn how to encase a stone with square wire. If you feel intimidated by the swirly design, don't do it! Just focus on the first half of the video where we encase the stone, then do your own thing. Or give it a go and see if it works! You never know until you try ☺️ I also posted the link where I buy my square wire in bulk but HOLY COW I didn't know prices had surged so much over the past year! If you guys have any links to share for smaller spools of square wire, feel free to comment below. I'll also try and do some research but unfortunately a lot of US sites are blocked for me here in France (like I can't even go on Michael's site 🙄) and as always, if you are located somewhere else, feel free to share worldwide links too! Europe: I personally have had a REALLY hard time finding square wire in bare copper over here in France. Scientific Wire Co has one but it's tarnish resistant. Has anyone worked with stainless steel wire 🤔 and what have you made using it . I have come away from sliver plated wire as it’s very disheartening when you see over time a piece of jewellery you made which took hours to do unwearable after a year ☹️ . This is my first attempt using stainless steel soft wire, but it’s much harder on the hands and I had to have a few days break in between, but at least it won’t tarnish 😁
