Weekly exercise: One message, four checks
This week, find one email, text, social DM, sales page, or AI-generated claim you almost trusted (or almost ignored). Run four quick checks:
1. Safety — Would acting on this share money, passwords, or personal data?
2. Scam awareness — Urgency, fear, or “too good”? Who benefits if you’re wrong?
3. Digital confidence — Can you verify the sender/source in a second channel?
4. Applied AI judgment — If AI wrote or “helped” with this, what would you verify yourself before acting?
Bonus if it’s a purchase: What exact problem does this solve, and what happens if you wait 24 hours?
Post a short note here: what you checked + one takeaway. No screenshots with private data.
Cadence: one exercise per week. Same format, new prompt next week.
